I wasn't impressed by much of the movie's humor, and it's honestly a stretch to link any kind of spiritual insight to something as crass as this film.

I'll give it this. Just as how everyone in the film had to train in order to play dodgeball and save their gym, the Lord often calls us to rise above what we think our limits are so we can do our best works for His kingdom.

This is more of a tangent comparison though. I'd be embarrassed if I tried to say Dodgeball is doing this in their own story.
